There’s a shift happening online where companies have finally caught up to needing an endless amount of video content. And I’ve been lucky enough to be one of the people who is getting a lot of work making that video content. Just means I spend a lot of time grinding away in the studio without making much personal stuff 🤷‍♂️ Trying to balance having an online presence, being a production studio, and family (my baby’s the coolest) - usually the online presence falls to the side first. So if I ghost for a while or just pop up once in a while with some sponsored posts, it usually means life is just too hectic to do anything for myself. Kind of feels like I’m reaching a point where I need a team or more hands on deck to stay afloat with all my work - but not really sure how to make that happen. Anyways, things are good! Just not enough hours in the day to capture frames. Lots of really cool stuff happening offline as well that I can talk about at a later date ✌️

Director! Last week I checked off a lifelong goal of directing a couple of commercial spots. Like a lot of kids who studied film/animation, directing was always one of those distant goals - but one that seemed elusive and out of reach. How do you become a director? Well for me, it only took 11 years of professional experience mixed with 6 years of proving and growing my skills on social media. I’ll talk more about the spots once they’re released, but so far it’s been an incredible experience! Everything from pitching to get the job, to location scouting, auditioning actors, and then a whirlwind day of shooting and making sure I got everything I needed (on time). A lot of people assume directing is being in control of everything, but it’s more of seeing through a vision while being lifted up and supported by a ton of talented folks. Everyone on set is there to help you and make your job easier - such an amazing, collaborate process. More to come!
