I have exciting news to share:) My animal rescue Jaws and Paws is now Women for Wolves 🐺👸🏽✨! @womenforwolves I started Jaws and Paws nearly 11 years ago while studying marine science and conservation at UC Berkeley, and what a journey it’s been. From rescuing wolves and wolf dogs to fighting for endangered species, it’s been my life’s work. We have rescued over 200 animals from abuse, neglect, or abandonment and we are home to 27 rescued Wolf-Dogs. We have given job opportunities and internships to young women in need. Jaws and Paws saved my life and Wolves gave me purpose. Now, we’re taking a bold step forward to make an even greater impact by embracing one of our biggest strengths—bringing women together to protect the environment. 💪🌍 Our new mission focuses on three key pillars: 🌿 Conservation & Education 💫 Women & Wellness 🛡️ Sanctuary & Rescue We’re still the sanctuary you know and love, but with an added focus on protecting wild wolves! 🐾 We’re teaming up with UC Berkeley’s California Wolf Project, supporting non-lethal predator deterrents, and launching fundraisers for wolf recovery. At the same time, we’ll roll out nature therapy, women’s empowerment programs, and youth environmental education. 🌲👩🏽‍🤝‍👩🏿🌱 We will be giving grants and scholarships to women and children in need. It is our firm belief that environmental education will not only save Animal lives, but human lives as well. This transition is about healing ourselves through healing nature. 🌎💖 As Clarissa Pinkola Estés said in Women Who Run with the Wolves, “Women and wolves are relational by nature.” My dream is to honor that connection and build a stronger, wilder future for women and animals alike. DM us at @womenforwolves to get involved—we’re looking for women’s groups, schools, and youth organizations to partner with. Let’s run wild! I’m calling ALL the women who run with wolves with moonlight in their hair.🖤🌲🌬️🐺✨ (swipe for an FAQ)
