This song and the who you are album is 15 years old next year. How should we celebrate?💰 💰 💰
Watching the reaction to this song in the past few weeks has honestly been 💔 Seeing the pain and sadness in your eyes in person, hearing your own personal stories and how this songs resonates and connects with you, and feeling your loneliness in grief first hand, has shown me and reminded me just how many of us are navigating loss while trying to live everyday life. But it has also been the most magical and beautiful experience to watch people connect through the Greif, and allow the sadness to come up and come out. I wrote this song purposefully with a honest and exposing lyric to not be able to hide from the sadness. I have had this song for 5 years and everytime I listen to it I sob. It has forced me to grieve and to feel and to let it out. I am grateful I now get to share that with you. We need to hold each other, to connect, to cry and laugh together as well as alone in our own way. I only ever started making music to connect and 20+ years later that still stands. Knowing this song has helped people already is the only success I will ever need. I wish I could hug all of you. 🫂
