When Electric Bowery co-founder Cayley Lambur first encountered Big Sur Residence in 2018, she could feel its magic. Though its gardens were overgrown and interior charms concealed, she had the vision and patience to restore it to glory. Issue No. 16 Feature • The @laminexau Series • Video Feature • Kesterson House — originally built for businessman William Kesterson and once an architect’s office — was purchased in 2020 with plans for a modest renovation. The project soon evolved into a striking transformation, featuring a rear extension with a light-filled glass link, blending the new kitchen and living area with the heritage home.
