MINT CONDITION In the lounge of this private residence, a vintage Ilum Wikkelso loveseat is complemented by Sung Jang’s bespoke stone coffee table and Christopher Farr custom rug. Adding visual interest are Erin Trefry’s artwork and Amanda Martinez’s commissioned wall piece, with Farrow & Ball’s dark green high-gloss paint enveloping the room. XK
MINIMAL MOMENTS Sometimes less truly is everything. XK
AMALGAM The Grotto, an intimate library at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel, is filled with an amalgam of vintage and contemporary art and furniture. XK
ALL AMERICAN Featured in the dining area within a pool pavilion in a private residence is a red and blue painting, ‘Pinocchio’ by Gene Davis. XK
COLLECTED WORKS A living room in a private residence featuring the Colina credenza from my collection anchored alongside Brousse’s wooden prototype desk lamp. Claudio Salocchi’s 1968 Paione sofa sits with Angelo Mangiarotti’s 1970s vintage marble coffee table, while Harri Kohonen’s Postmodern chairs and Jordan Mozer’s Victory lounge chairs provide seating moments. Side tables include Kaspar Hamacher’s burnt wood piece, Bari Ziperstein’s Loop table, Christopher Gentner’s custom cube tables, Jonathan Cross’s ceramic striped table, and the Balthus side table from my collection, with Jonathan Nesci’s Lady Bird lamp adding illumination. SCULPTED STORIES Excited to share the expansion of the Echo Collection with new pieces—a coffee table and dining table—that celebrate the organic rhythm of nature through sculptural form. The narrative behind materials has always been essential to my design approach - with Echo, each piece is hand-carved from timber that has already lived one life, now transformed through a design language drawn from those remarkable modernist structures along Malibu’s coastline. Hand-sculpted in our Downtown Los Angeles workshop from reclaimed wood, we’re creating designs that honor both the material’s history and our commitment to environmental stewardship.
