Some face sketches to warm up ✨ My sketchbook is full of these kinds of pages, somehow I never get tired of drawing faces.
Some drawings from a random sketch session, including free feet 👀 Next time I’ll charge. Just kidding - jokes aside, I like how the girl in the first pic turned out. I might add some color to her at a later point!
Making a value study! I think I tried like 20 different brushes on this one and ended up just doing most of the rendering with the hard round brush 😂 What’s your go-to brush?
Do you ever re-draw your old art? I think it’s a great way to test your artistic growth. If you’re feeling creatively blocked, it’s also a good way to make you feel better about your own work because you become more aware of how much you’ve learned and grown! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are some remakes I’ve made over the years ~ the last one is the most cringe of them all, so you can skip that one 😅
I always wonder what a fish’s expression means. Are they judging us? Are they baffled? Are they giving eachother the bombastic side eye?

Playing around with color for these studies ~ inspired by the self portraits of one of my favorite artists, Egon Schiele. I love how he used such vibrant colors to paint skin and faces.
