14 years ago, @jlin7 founded the Jeremy Lin Foundation as he entered the NBA, with a vision to uplift underestimated, marginalized youth. Through every step—before, during, and beyond Linsanity—our mission has stayed true: to be a bridge for those often overlooked, and a voice for those who need to be heard. The Jeremy Lin Foundation has been a connector/bridge builder, supporter, advocate and as our approach has evolved to center AAPI youth alongside other marginalized communities working together in solidarity, we’re proud of the impact we’ve made so far. Happy May, y’all! That means it’s AAPI Heritage Month AND it’s Mental Health Awareness month. As the Jeremy Lin Foundation has been doing some community listening with more than 40 of our trusted partners, mental health continues to be important for youth in our community. From what we're hearing, vulnerable youth are feeling more anxious, more fearful. There's a lot of uncertainty right now. As you all already know, mental health is a big deal to me. This month, we’ll be highlighting how some of our partners are supporting mental health needs in their own unique and hopeful ways.

Growing up I was always the Asian guy in the gym. Then I went overseas and suddenly I was the foreigner. No matter where I went, I never quite felt like I fully belonged. But over time, I’ve learned that sitting in the in-between can be its own kind of strength. Being Asian American has taught me how to adapt, how to connect, and how to build bridges where there weren’t any before.
