I thought this was important to share as I’ve seen a lot of people say, “You snapped back quickly because you had the foundations.” YES, you’re 100% right, but it was never quick! Firstly, everyone’s journey is very, very different, so you could be lifting for years before you fall pregnant, and your recovery could be so different from mine. Not to mention, women who have C-sections need way longer to recover (you ladies are my heroes), so please know your journey is very, very unique. However, I firmly believe in and will advocate for strength training and believe all women should be lifting/moving their bodies. It will make you stronger physically and mentally to overcome. Enough stats support this. My “snap back” is from the foundation I built, not from a quick 4-week program! It was years of work, and YES, nutrition and genetics add to this equation, so don’t be fooled. I just hope this is your reminder to move your body, and nothing comes quickly. This is a journey, and fitness is meant to elevate your life, never consume it!
