2024년 기준 전 세계 어린이 1억 3,800만 명이 아직도 노동으로 하루를 시작합니다. 아동노동은 어린이를 위험에 빠뜨릴 뿐 아니라 유년기 전체를 앗아 갑니다. 2000년 이후 아동노동 어린이 수는 2억 4,600만 명에서 1억 3,800만 명으로 감소했지만, 2025년까지 아동노동 근절이라는 글로벌 목표를 달성하기엔 현재의 감소 속도가 매우 더딘 상황입니다.  향후 5년 이내에 목표를 달성하려면 현재보다 11배 속도의 빠른 진전이 이뤄져야 합니다. 모든 어린이가 일터 내신 학교에서 내일을 향한 꿈을 키울 수 있도록 우리 모두의 관심이 필요합니다.  Nearly 138 million children were engaged in child labour in 2024. Child labour takes away every day, beyond the level of putting children at risk. Since 2000, child labour has almost halved, from 246 million to 138 million, yet current rates remain too slow, and the world has fallen short of reaching the 2025 global elimination target. To end it within the next five years, current rates of progress would need to be 11 times faster.
