Welcome to my crib 🌟 In this image taken by @NASAHubble, you’re looking at a high-mass star-forming region called Cepheus A. It’s located about 2,400 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus—hence its name. It’s home to a collection of baby stars and a large protostar, which is an actively-forming star. Cepheus A’s protostar is responsible for half of the region’s brightness. Image description: A dramatic cloud in space, with high contrast between the dark zones of dense, light-blocking dust and the vivid, colorful light shining out from the openings. The light glows in orange, lavender, and deep, steely blue. The dust is studded with four-pointed stars of variable color and brightness. Credit: NASA, ESA, and R.
